I think deeply about almost everything. Sometimes too deeply. I’m trying to spend a little less time perfecting ideas in my head and a lot more time doing something with them.
I wanted somewhere all of it could live.
Bluntly MaryJane is a home for the things I’m interested in, studying, making, questioning, learning, and getting into along the way.
I write because I want to leave something useful behind. Sometimes that means explaining what I learned. Sometimes it means documenting a process, sharing a tutorial, breaking down an idea, or simply recording a part of my life I want to remember.
One day, I want my kids to be able to come back here and find more than pictures. I want them to know what I learned, what I cared about, what I changed my mind about, what I tried, and what I figured out along the way.
What’s the point of learning your way through an entire lifetime if none of what you learn can help the ones who come after you?
